Pointman CEO and Co-Founder Steve Kiernan II recently sat down with Buffalo Business First to discuss Pointman’s journey toward offering an “innovative solution” for residential plumbing, HVAC and electrical contractors. As the article explained, Pointman offers both “software and business support” to its members.
“There is a lot of opportunity for us,” Kiernan II told Business First’s Dan Miner. “We’re carving out an interesting space where it’s not just a piece of software; we provide high-touch services around that to help people run their businesses.”
Kiernan II also discussed the growing technology startup scene in Buffalo, Pointman’s hometown. He has seen “a lot of very enthusiastic, often young individuals who want to work at a company that is passionate about being creative and passionate about change.”
At Pointman, that quest for innovation is paired with deep industry knowledge. The result is a company truly helps its members grow their business, and run it more successfully.
“We hire former owners, general managers and service managers who have run these kinds of companies,” Kiernan II said. “You have this additional level of engagement where you engage with a customer success manager and a business success coach, and that seems to be resonating.”
Buffalo Business First also recently highlighted Pointman’s growth; in the last two years the company has grown from about 15 employees to more than 50.
