My Radiodetection RD8000/8100 won’t collect data

  1. Make sure your firmware on the RD is at least version 1005.
  2. To check this, pair to the tool and look at what name is displayed in the Bluetooth menu. It will show up as “RD8100_100x”
  3. This should be at least “RD8100_1005”. If it is not, proceed to the next step
  4. Open Google and search for “RD Manager” and download it
  5. Connect your RD to your computer via a USB cable
  6. Install the latest firmware version (at least 1005)
  7. Pair as usual and PointMan should now be able to collect using an RD8000/8100
